My name is Öykü and I joined the Skift Advisory team coming with a marketing and public relations background. I am passionate about creating a positive impact in the tourism industry through the destinations I work with by delivering data-driven insights.

As an Associate at Skift Advisory, I work closely with the company's leadership to develop strategies that address the unique challenges faced by tourism organizations and destinations. My responsibilities include conducting quantitative and qualitative research, performing situational and financial analyses, creating, and examining spatial maps, evaluating markets, and analyzing stakeholder surveys and interviews to craft results-oriented strategic plans for our clients. I also contribute to the development of corporate thought leadership, fostering continuous innovation within the company.

I graduated from Tufts University with a double major in economics and psychology in 2022. My internships mainly revolved around marketing and public relations, with a particular emphasis on digital marketing, social media, and SEO research. Although I currently reside in Boston, I was born and raised in Istanbul, Türkiye, until I moved to the US for my studies. I am proficient in both English and Turkish and have had the privilege of working in diverse cultural settings.

In my free time, I love exploring new restaurants and attractions with my loved ones and going on long walks by the Charles River. I have a special fondness for beach vacations, where I can unwind by the soothing sound of waves and bask in the sun with a book and a cold drink.
