AIG engaged Skift to analyze its own internal data, develop a methodology to assess the quality/importance of said metrics, identify thresholds for recovery, and assess country-specific metrics.

Impact


Skift created a custom Travel Recovery Index specific to AIG’s core business. In addition to providing AIG analysts with market intelligence data, Skift presented topline trends monthly to AIG leadership to inform their market strategy. The program was so successful AIG renewed the program for a second year.

Objective


As the uncertainty of COVID-19 unfolded in 2020, AIG sought comprehensive insights on relevant travel industry metrics to detect signs and stages of recovery, and to provide guidance for the company’s COVID-19 strategy.
